Approximately one hundred city and village officials attended the September meeting of the Northwestern Municipal Association held near Galva. Speaker of the evening was Frank M. Pfeifer, legislative counsel of the Illinois Municipal League, who explained and urged support of the revenue amendment to the state constitution. Municipalities represented at meeting were: Annawan, Cambridge, Galesburg, Geneseo, Kewanee, East Moline, Moline, Orion, Prophetstown, Sherrard, Toulon, Woodhull, Galva and Knoxville. Alderman John Carlson of Moline is president of the organization. Mayor James B. Young and Alderman W. A. Samuelson of the host city, Galva, were responsible, for arrangements.
