BRITISH PHYSICIAN HONORED AT ASHLAND,
ILLINOIS, RECEPTION

Shown with Dr. Marshall in front of the Ashland Village plaque are, left to right, Village Trustee Harold T. Bast; Dr. Marshall, and Village President Bill Quinley.

Dr. Alexander J. Marshall of Luton, Bedfordshire, England, was honored at a public reception recently in Ashland Library. Dr. Marshall, who is touring the United States under sponsorship of the Ford Foundation and the State Department, visited Ashland over a weekend. The only small town on the Doctor's itinerary, Ashland was chosen as a typical progressive small town in America's heart land.
