ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION . . .
needed to assist the Director of Parks in the general operation of the Park District, to organize and be responsible for a lighted school program and summer playground program. 609 acres of highly developed parks, including two 18 hole golf courses in a good growing community that has just finished a new master plan and will add 500 - 600 acres to the park district in the near future. Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation and related fields, two years or more experience with public recreation or park department. DIRECTOR OF AQUATICS . . .
will be responsible for the planning, organization and supervision of a comprehensive aquatic program for the Park District under the administrative supervision of the Director of Recreation. He will exercise administrative professional judgment with considerable latitude for independent action and initiative in the formulation, promotion and guidance of the aquatic programs. Qualifications . . . a degree based on a major in Recreation, Physical Education or related field. Must have advanced aquatic training with direct experience in pool management and operation and aquatic programming. Salary will range between $8,000 and $10,000 depending upon applicant.
