DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION . . . for the top management position responsible to the Board of Commissioners for the total operation and administration of parks and year round recreation programs. Responsible for preparing the budget, hiring of staff personnel, maintenance of all facilities, and public relations. The park district is currently involved in master planning and construction about to begin on a pool and field house complex. Desired qualifications are a Bachelor's degree in recreation and parks administration or related field required. Experience desirable, but not required. PARK PLANNING AND MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR . . . position is open for the Winnetka Park District. This individual will plan, develop, engineer and supervise actual park landscape construction projects, plus supervision and co-ordination of park maintenance programs and develop new maintenance techniques as they relate to facilities including golf courses, skating rinks, tennis courts (indoor and outdoor) , bathing beaches, launching ramp, athletic fields, etc.. Qualifications is a degree in Landscape Architecture, Park Administration or related fields; experience desired but not required. Salary range is $9,000 to $11,500 commensurate with combined qualifications and experience.
