John Kocourek, Director of Parks and Recreation, Dundee Township Park District and Alan R. Caskey, Park and Recreation Planner, have organized a new park and recreation management firm, MCK Associates, Incorporated, to provide park and recreation administrative and leadership personnel to park districts, municipalities and private recreation enterprises. The park and recreation management service will be specifically directed at park districts who cannot afford a full time professional park and recreation director.

John J. Kocourek, is Director of Parks and Recreation at Dundee Township Park District. He is a graduate of Slippery Rock State College, Pennsylvania in Recreation and holds a M.S. degree in Parks and Recreation Administration from the University of Oregon. He was a Youth and Sports Director in the U.S. Air Force, Superintendent of Parks and Recreation in Allen Park, Michigan, and Recreation Supervisor at Dundee. He has been active in professional societies and has written articles for professional journals.

Alan R. Caskey is a park and recreation planner. He was associated with the University of Illinois Field Service, McFadzean and Everly, and is now operating his own park and recreation planning firm. He holds a B.S. and M.S. degree in Recreation and Park Administration from the University of Illinois and is completing the final stages of a Ph.D. degree from the University of Illinois. Mr. Caskey is the author of several books including "Playground Operation Manual," "Swimming Pool Operation Manual," and a book to be published this fall by A. S. Barnes entitled "Recreation Center Operation Manual."

John Woodson, formerly Superintendent of Recreation for the Barrington Park District is an example of the Management Specialists the firm will retain to provide park districts with competent professional services. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Park and Recreation Administration from LaCrosse State University, Wisconsin and has had over three years of park and recreation supervisory experience. Mr. Woodson will be the MCK Associates Management Specialist for the Woodridge Park District.

MCK Associates will provide professional administrative, maintenance and recreation program leadership on a continuing basis. Major emphasis will be providing a professional Director of Parks and Recreation for two adjacent park districts.

MCK Associates, Inc., will also provide services to assist in the organization of park districts, personnel placement and specialized management studies.
