TRAVELING PLAYGROUND

ip710121b1.jpg

A longtime recreational need has partially been solved in Glen Ellyn by the coordinated efforts of the Glen Ellyn Jaycees.

For about $3,000 the Village of Glen Ellyn was able to provide organized recreation at several area locations last summer. This was made possible through their new "Traveling Playground".

Through the combined efforts of the Jaycees, Park District, Village of Glen Ellyn, YMCA and numerous other community groups, the traveling playground was made a reality.

Tom Lawson, Program Coordinator for the Jaycees, is willing to share his experience with those who might be interested in a program of this nature. Contact him at: P.O. Box 184, Oak Park, Illinois 60403.
