Charles J. Kulp, a ten year employee of the U. S. Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife, has been named coordinator of the Upper Mississippi River Conservation Committee for the Department of Conservation.

He received his degree in Zoology from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida.

Bruce B. Everly

Bruce B. Everly

Bruce B. Everly was recently appointed Executive Officer of McFadzean and Everly, LTD, Park planners of Winnetka, Illinois.

He started his administrative career with McFadzean and Everly in 1958. He worked in both the United States and Canadian offices of the firm.

He left McFadzean & Everly to complete his education in Canada where he received his B. A. (Business Administration) Degree. Subsequently, he had a successful career in Corporation Management with a Canadian Corporation that is constructing a billion dollar hydro-electric plant at Churchill Falls in Labrador.

Everly's return to the firm represents a change in its administration. He will specialize in fiscal matters affecting project budgets and construction controls which will provide additional services to the firm's clients.

Robert E. Wardingley

Robert E. Wardingley

Robert E. Wardingley has been appointed Director of the Oak Forest Park District.

Bob has a broad background in park administration and supervision.

He has served as President of the Markham Park District for two years and a Commissioner of that district for eight years. He has acted as Secretary for the Native Prairie Committee, Chairman of Recreation, Public Relations, and Land Acquisitions Committee for the Markham Park District; been a member of the Recreation Council for the General Motors Electromotive Plant in La Grange and a community worker for the Illinois Youth Commission.

Robert Gillikin was appointed Director of Recreation for the Champaign Park District effective September 1st. He replaced Robert Abbuehl who accepted a position at Parkland College. He served as Aquatics Director this past year while completing a National Recreation and Park Association internship.

He holds a B. S. and M. S. degree in Park and Recreation Administration from the University of North Carolina.

Robert Coomer was appointed to a National Recreation and Park Internship with the Champaign Park District in September.

He is a June graduate of Western Illinois University and will serve a dual role with the park district as director of aquatics and part-time administrator of the art museum.

Pat Norris has been appointed Administrative Assistant with the Champaign Park District. She had previously served as program coordinator. She received her undergraduate degree from Indiana and her M.S. degree from Indiana State University.

Phil Miner was promoted to the position of Landscape Specialist with the Champaign Park District. He had served the district as a gardner since 1961. His promotion was effective this past summer.

Stanley Biedenkoph

Stanley Biedenkoph

Stanley Biedenkoph, Superintendent of Parks for the Blue Island Park District retired May 31, 1971. Stan had 18 years service to his community and the Blue Island Park District.

He is now enjoying his retirement in the warm Sunshine State, Sarasota, Florida. He will continue one of his favorite recreational activities, traveling.

Candace Cherry

Candace Cherry

Candace Cherry is a newly appointed Community Center Director for the Dundee Township Park District. She is a graduate of S.I.U. with a B.S. degree in community recreation.

She was active while in school with a number of recreational activities including service as a volunteer for a nursing home; served on the staff of the Summer Show Wagon; and was active in the schools intramural sports program.

Candace did her fieldwork at the Waukegan Park District.

John Lester

John Lester

John Lester has joined the staff of the Dundee Township Park District as the Center Director at Besinger Community Center.

John is a recent graduate of Indiana University and holds a B.S. degree in Outdoor Recreation.

He was active while in school with a number of activities and holds membership in the American Camping Association, and the National Recreation and Park Association.

In addition to duties at the center he will be responsible for a number of other activities including the departments' special events.

Fred Hall

Fred Hall

Fred Hall, a former employee of the Palatine Park District, has returned as its new Director.

He received a M. S. degree in parks and recreation from the University of Illinois after receiving his B. S. degree from Springfield (Mass.) College.

As many will remember, he served as Assistant Director of the Palatine District during 1965 and 1966 before moving to New York to become involved in related work with the Xerox Corporation in Rochester, New York.

An Army veteran, he is married and the father of one child. He is a native of New Britain, Connecticut.
