Ned Bell was recently appointed Assistant Superintendent of the Recreation Division, Naperville Park District. Bell has a B.S. degree in Recreation from Indiana State University. He has worked for the Decatur Park District and was until his appointment a student at Evangelical Theological Seminary, Naperville, Illinois and part-time recreation supervisor for the Naperville Park District.


Karen Ristau has been appointed Superintendent of Recreation for the Franklin Park Park District. She was promoted from Recreation Supervisor and formerly worked as a Center Director for the Arlington Hgts., Illinois Park District. She succeeds Joseph W. Lewis III who has resigned to return to Oregon. Karen is active in IPRS work and is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Recreation and Park Administration.


Marilyn Wolf has been appointed Recreation Supervisor for the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District. Marilyn assumed her new position on January 10 and will assume the responsibilities of supervising general recreation programs for all ages.

Marilyn brings to the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District not only her enthusiasm, but past experience from the Galesburg Recreation Department and Skokie Park District. Marilyn is a graduate from the University of Illinois with a major in Parks and Recreation Administration.


Jerry Menz was recently appointed to the position of Superintendent of Recreation for the Decatur Park District, He replaced Russ Foval who retired February 8th.

Jerry is a graduate of the University of Illinois and has served on the Decatur staff for 11 years. He has a strong background in sports and athletics and is an official of both the Big Eight and Big Ten Conferences. He has worked the NJCAA National finals for five years and is also active in the NCAA College Division and NAIA Tournaments.

His most recent honor was officiating the 1972 East-West College All Star game.

Jerry is a four year veteran of the U. S. Air Force where he served with the Special Services Branch.


John Wetzel has been appointed Superintendent of Parks for the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District. John's appointment became effective January 1, 1972 and his responsibilities include the supervision and organization of the District's maintenance program. John will supervise five full-time and several part-time workers which handle building maintenance, grounds maintenance, vehicle repair and planting.

John received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and has worked with the Illinois Bell Telephone Company in Chicago for twenty years.


Robyn Glick has been appointed to the position of recreation supervisor for the Naperville Park District. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois and has a degree in Park and Recreation Administration.

Prior to coming to Naperville she did her field work for the Elmhurst Park District, served as a Recreation Therapist for the Division of Recreation, San Antonio, Texas and spent three summers with the Oak Park Recreation Department.

Robyn replaced Allyson Herzeg who accepted a position with the Special Services, Department of the Army, and has been assigned to duty in Germany.
