THERAPEUTIC SYMPOSIUM SLATED

The 1973 Midwest Regional Symposium on Therapeutic Recreation for persons involved with the ill and disabled will be held on April 12-14. The symposium will be sponsored by the National Therapeutic Recreation Society, with the host state sponsors being the Illinois Therapeutic Recreation Society and the Office of Recreation and Park Resources of the Cooperative Extension Service at the University of Illinois. ITRS will sponsor the opening banquet to be held on the evening of Thursday, April 12.

Nationally recognized authorities in five disability areas will present challenging new ideas in the field of therapeutic recreation. Thirty educational workshop sessions will provide in-depth investigation into the problems relating to the following areas of specializations:

Corrections, the Aging, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, and Retardation.
