230 Attend Legislative Conference

One hundred and fifty-six park and recreation professionals and 74 state legislators attended the IAPD Fifth Annual Legislative Conference April 20 in Springfield. Several programs on legislative matters were presented during the morning and afternoon at the Hilton Hotel and an evening reception honoring legislators was held at the Sangamo Club. Rep. Michael J. Madigan, Speaker of the Illinois House, discussed "Illinois in the 1980s" in a keynote luncheon address. Shown are a few photo highlights of the Conference.
