ZONING ADMINISTRATOR

WASTEWATER SYSTEM OPERATOR

The Village of Tolono, Illinois (population 2400), located 10 miles south of Champaign-Urbana and the University of Illinois, is currently seeking applications for operator of the Village's wastewater system. The successful applicant will be responsible tor overall day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Village's sewage collection system and its recently renovated 0.235 MGD single-stage activated sludge wastewater treatment plant. The plant is designed for nitrification and is equipped for phosphorus removal, having both ferric chloride and lime handling facilities. All applicants must possess a current Class 2 Illinois wastewater treatment plant operator's license, a high school diploma, and not less than five (5) years of experience in responsible charge of the operation and maintenance of activated sludge wastewater treatment plants of similar size and complexity. Duties of the wastewater system operator will include: supervision of maintenance personnel, implementation of plant process control measures, direct communication with the Village Board and the public, operation of the plant laboratory, preparation and maintenance of plant records, the submission of DMR's to IEPA, implementation of safety and preventive maintenance programs, preparation of annual budget reports, and providing major equipment purchase recommendations to the Village Board. Other secondary duties may from time-to-time include the maintenance of Village streets and rights-of-way. CITY ENGINEER

The City of Marseilles is seeking applications for the position of City Engineer. This is an administrative position and requires a thorough knowledge of municipal engineering and applicant will work closely with city council. COMMUNICATIONS SUPERVISOR
