ADDISON COMMUNITY TELEVISION
WINS NATIONAL
PROGRAMMING AWARD

The Village of Addison Cable Television Department received third place honors at the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (N.A.T.O.A.) annual conference in Scottsdale, Arizona during their municipal programming awards banquet September 10, 1989. Addison was recognized for excellence in the area of election coverage programming for "Addiscene Election '89", the live election night cable-cast of Addison's April 2nd consolidated election.

Addison's entry was one of over 300 program samples judged in this year's competition. "Addiscene Election '89" was judged along with other entries in the category of "election coverage" by the City of Aurora, Colorado Cable Office.

"Addiscene Election '89" was cablecast live on April 2, 1989 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Addison Community Television channel 13 and included interviews with candidates, reports from party headquarters locations, and vote total returns.

"I wish to express my thanks to N.A.T.O.A. for this honor," said Director of Cable Television Services Donald Weiss, "and congratulate our Cable Television Operations Coordinator Greg Mueller and the many volunteers who worked on this production; you all share in this award."

The Village of Addison is an agency member of N.A.T.O.A., a professional association composed of individuals and organizations serving citizens through city and county government and regional authorities in the development, regulation, and administration of cable television and other telecommunications systems.
