Ms. Mary L. Haynes, CMC/AAE, City Clerk of the City of Peoria, Illinois, has been accepted as a member in the IIMC Academy for Advanced Education of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. The Academy is the professional body of municipal clerks who have continued their high level of educational achievement beyond the attainment of the prestigious Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) Award . . .

The Illinois Municipal League was saddened to learn of the death of "Doc" Wilson, Fire and Police Commissioner of Des Plaines. Mr. Wilson was a past president of the Illinois Police and Fire Commissioners . . .

The League was equally saddened to learn of the death of William E. LeCrone, Mayor of Shelbyville who had many friends in the League.
