The Illinois Association of Park Districts' 13th Annual Legislative Golf Outing was held July 20 at White Pines Golf Course, Bensenville, Ill. Despite heavy, intermittent downpours, the golf outing was a success and brought together commissioners, staff and legislators for a day of fun.

The staff of the Bensenville Park District did an outstanding job of putting together the event. They made the accommodations bearable and enjoyable.

Golf trick-shot artist, and former PGA tour professional golfer, Peter Longo delighted the crowd with his amazing talent. Everytime he hit the ball it sailed at least 200 yards no matter what he used as a golf club. He is the White Pines resident golf pro part of the year. During the winter, he spends his time on the links in Arizona.

Longo tours the country performing his golf trick-shot show and promotes Wilson Sporting Goods, Inc. at the same time.

One park commissioner said of Longo's talents, "I've seen his show three times and I'm always amazed at the way he can hit a (golf) ball. It's one of the highlights of this legislative golf outing."
