The new municipal building in Evergreen Park includes Fire Department, Police Department and Administration Offices.

The administration offices, including the council chambers, were completely remodeled and updated during the year at a total cost of approximately $100,000. These funds were budgeted and paid for from the general corporate fund. The primary purpose of the work was to completely modernize the offices and make a more efficient and productive work area.

A new addition to the police station was completed during the year and the previous space was completely gutted and remodeled. The total cost approximated $2 million which included construction costs, architect and engineering fees, and furnishings. The project was financed partially by debt (approximately $1 million) and the balance by general corporate funds. •
