DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

This professional level position will be responsible for the review and approval of all subdivision development plans, building permit grading plans, and administration of the City's subdivision regulations for private development projects. Typical duties will include meetings with development engineers to review projects and City regulations, review and approval of specific engineering plans, preparation of reports to the department director and the Plan Commission, coordination of City consulting engineering services, inspection of field construction work to ensure compliance with City regulations, review and approval of site grading plans, and inspection of completed site work. This position will report to the Director of the City's Department of Community Development.
