Fourteen (14) Municipal Treasurers received their certification at the annual banquet. Those who qualified and were awarded the title of Certified Illinois Municipal Treasurer (CIMT) are: Bill Agee-Centralia, Shelia Barton-Sterling, Dan Reiser-Alton, Judy Bodey-Loves Park, Otto Bradford-Markham, Pam Figolah-East Dundee, Don Lee-Machesney Park, Mark Mannini-Niles, Mike Peterson-East Alton, Dave Roady-Troy, Mary Roe-Dolton, Sharon Rusteburg-Highland, Joey Tolbert-Wood River and Jana Wood-Mt. Zion.

The Illinois Municipal Treasurers Association (IMTA) recently held their annual conference in Urbana, IL. At the general membership meeting the new slate of Officers and Board of Directors were elected for 1992-1993. Following is a list of the 92-93 officers:

The Board of Directors for IMTA are as follows: Bill Agee-Centralia (94), Dan Beiser-Alton (93), Ruth Garner-Forsyth (94), Kathleen Green-Effingham (94), Carolyn Kolling-Charleston (93), Don Lee-Machesney Park (94), Sophie Pearson-Island Lake (93) and Ila Reynolds-Wauconda (93).

Lloyd F. Hara, Treasurer of the city of Seattle, Washington and President of the Municipal Treasurers Association of the United States and Canada (MTA US&C). Mr. Hara addressed the conference attendees on Monday. As the Treasurer for Seattle Mr. Hara has received many national awards. Among the recognitions received are: 1987 & 1991 Government Finance Officers Award of Excellence for Financial Management; 1988 Distinguished Leadership Award from the Association of Government Accountants and the Nation's Best Municipal Treasurer for 1987 from City and State Magazine.

IMTA Past Presidents honored at a special reception at the Krannert Art Museum in Champaign, were Brad Bettenhausen, Bette Booth, Myrtle Dunn, Mary Ulrich, James McGill, Robert Gordon and Pete Scherzer.
