UTILITY DIVISION SUPERINTENDENT
The City of West Chicago is seeking a Superintendent for the Utility Division of the Public Works Department. The position reports to the Director of Public Works. Salary dependent upon qualification. Plan and direct the operation, repair and maintenance of municipal water and sewer systems. Prepare and administer activity budgets for water, storm and sanitary system maintenance. Manages resources, establishing and tracking of municipal water systems and computerized utility supervisory systems essential. Must possess strong technical knowledge, personal experience, communication skills and leadership ability.

CHIEF OF POLICE

The Huntley Police Department's current personnel budget provides for the position of Chief of Police, ten full time officers, one part time officer and one records clerk/secretary. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in police, public or criminal justice administration or a closely related field supplemented with a record of continuous specialized and supervisory/command level training. Prefer candidates who are graduates of advanced training at an institution such as the F.B.I. National Academy, the Southern Police Institute (Administration Officers Course), Northwestern Traffic Institute (Staff and Command school), or comparable command level training. Minimum of ten years of broad based experience with at least five years of progressively responsible experience in a supervisory, command, or administrative staff position. Good administrative, interpersonal, management skills required. Knowledge of current police administrative practices; applicable laws; recent court decisions; computer literate; "street" experience and capability; active interest in community affairs and activities; and, ability to enhance public understanding and support of police services also desired.
