LICENSED OPERATOR

BUILDING COMMISSIONER

The City of Palos Hills is seeking a full-time Building Commissioner responsible for the maintenance and enforcement of all local building, planning and zoning codes. Responsible for all Building Department activities including but not limited to supervision of all building inspectors, review all plans and issue of permits.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT/PLANNING
COORDINATOR

This is a twelve-month, full-time contractual position with primary responsibility for coordinating the Village of Shorewood Economic Development Committee's (EDC) activities and the 1-80 Corridor Planning Council's (CPC) general secretariat function. This position is subject to renewal on a fulltime or part-time basis.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR VILLAGE OF SHOREWOOD: Assist the EUC with on-going and future projects involving business retention and attraction. Attract commercial and industrial development to Shorewood through development of a marketing strategy that is structured around the EDC's goals and the Shorewood Comprehensive Plan's objectives. Develop a marketing package using demographics and community brochures, maps, etc. Maintain current and develop new contacts with commercial and industrial developers. Actively participate in regional economic development organizations and the Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce. Other tasks as deemed necessary by theEDC,

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF 1-80 CORRIDOR PLANNING COUNCIL: Prepare agendas, mailings and other documentation for all meetings of the CPC and its subcommittees. Maintain minutes including records of all votes and actions taken by the CPC and its subcommittees. Maintain financial records of the CPC. Maintain permanent records/files of the CPC and its subcommittees. Other administrative tasks as deemed necessary by the N.I.P.O., Will County Governmental League or the CPC. Obtain and maintain records of local soft match contributed by CPC members, in accordance with specification. Regularly submit documentation of local soft match to N.I.P.C. with billing for the same period.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in planning, business, or public administration or related field. Experience working with local governments as well as computer knowledge is desirable. Strong communication skills are necessary. POLICE COMMANDER

The Village of Woodridge is accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Commander of Police. The Commander of Police is a sworn, mid-management position responsible for directing first line supervisors in either the Operations Division or the Support Services Division and reports to the Deputy Chief of Police. Woodridge has a population of 28,500, and is a culturally diverse community with a growing economy, located in Cook, DuPage and Will Counties, approximately 30 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. FOR SALE

The Village of Bolingbrook has two 1990 Ford Model 710 Leaf Loaders for sale. They are powered by four cylinder ninety-five horsepower diesel engines. Low hours and in excellent condition. Cost new $25,980 each. The minimum bid for each unit is $13,000.

Also for sale is one USEMCO Package Dry Well/Sewage Lift Station. Station includes two 20 horsepower 650 GPM at 60TDH non-clog pumps. Included are all electrical controls and associated accessories for full operation. BID NOTICE

The City of Washington, IL, will be accepting sealed bids for the sale on one 1979 Aquatech Sewer Jet and trailer mounted Jet-Vac pump and tank. Aquatech Sewer Jet is mounted on a 1979 CMC truck chassis. Model C6D042. Truck has a 350 c.i.d. gasoline engine with a 5-speed manual transmission and approximately 21,000 miles. Jet unit is powered by a Ford 300 c.i.d. gasoline engine and has approximately 17,800 hours usage. Trailer mounted Jet-Vac pump and tank has been used sparingly with only 50-100 hours on the 16 H.P., single cylinder, air-cooled engine.
