PTI, AT&T Renew Public Pay Phone Commission Program
Local, state governments enjoy highest-ever commission rates on
calls made from public pay telephones under new three-year contract

In a move expected to bring local and state governments unprecedented revenues from public pay telephones, Public Technology, Inc. (PTI), and AT&T have renewed their public pay telephone commission program for a third three-year term.

Under the new PTI/AT&T contract, program participants receive higher-than-ever commissions on 0+ long-distance calls made from their public pay telephones. Current program customers, for instance, will enjoy commission rate increases of 10 to 30 percent upon extension or renewal of their contracts

Commissions will be generated on all undesignated non-sent paid calls, according to the following structure:

Monthly Public Pay
Telephone Revenues		Monthly Commission
Under $2,083.33		22 percent
Between $2,083.34 and $6,249.99		24 percent
Over $6,250		26 percent

As part of the new agreement, PTI and AT&T have also pledged to research new opportunities in the local and state government market and bring new telecommunications offerings to government customers. By keeping pace with the dizzying changes in telecommunications today, the partners will continue to offer government customers the very best in technology and service.

Since 1989, when PTI launched the program with AT&T after selecting the telecommunications giant through a rigorous competitive procurement, over 5,000 city, county, and state entities have earned a combined $42 million annually in commissions.
