The Illinois Municipal League mourns the loss of Steve Rittof, former Mayor of Channahon. Mr. Rittof served as fire chief from 1950 to 1965. In 1952 he was elected police magistrate and served until 1964. He was elected mayor in 1971 and served until 1983.

Robert Walker has been appointed city manager of Rochelle. He formerly served as city manager of Chanute, Kansas.

The Municipal League mourns the loss of Florine "Flo" Kavalcik, City Clerk of Crest Hill. Ms. Kovalcik served as clerk since 1981. •
