The Illinois Municipal League mourns the loss of Larry Homerin, former Mayor of Pekin. Mr. Homerin was elected to the Pekin City Council in 1983 and served as mayor from 1987-1991.

The Municipal League was also saddened to hear of the passing of John Hayner, City Attorney of Ottawa, since 1973.

John R. Wade, City Treasurer of Algonquin, has been awarded the designation of Certified Illinois Municipal Treasurer from the Illinois Municipal Treasurers Institute conducted through Eastern Illinois University. Mr. Wade has served as Treasurer since May 1991.

The 13th Annual Illinois Women in Government Conference is scheduled for March 27-29, 1996, at the Hilton Hotel in Springfield. Featured are sessions on professional development, public policy, politics and technology, including a hands-on technology workshop. Program highlight include:
