The Illinois Municipal League was saddened to hear of the death of Eugene Noose, former Village President of Willowbrook, on March 1. Mr. Noose served as Village President from 1985-1993. Prior to that he served as Village Trustee from 1975-1985.

The Municipal League was also saddened to hear of the passing of B. G. "Barney" Cunningham, former Village President of Park Forest. Mr. Cunningham served as Village Trustee from 1955-1961 before serving as Village President from 1961-71. He was president of the Illinois Municipal League from 1969-70.

Addison Village Clerk Lucille Zucchero was recently presented with the Mosely Hahn Award by the Addison VFW for her continued involvement with charities and organizations that involve the community.

Charles Tokar, Village Clerk and Budget Officer for the Village of Chicago Ridge, has been accepted into the Academy for Advanced Education by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. Mr. Tokar currently serves as the Vice President for the Municipal Clerks of Illinois.

Sandra Jennings Black, the Village Clerk in Park Forest, has received the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk as well as Registered Municipal Clerk.

The Illinois Municipal Treasurers Association will hold its Annual Treasurer's Conference June 23-25 at the Ramada Inn and Thelma Keller Convention Center in Effingham. The conference is designed for municipal treasurers and financial officials of both large and small municipalities.
