UTILITIES MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

The City of Rock Island (population 40,000), seeks individual to supervise maintenance and repair of the municipal water, wastewater, and storm/drainage systems. Work involves responsibility for supervising the maintenance of the water distribution and sanitary and storm sewer systems. Work is performed under general direction of the Municipal Services Superintendent and in accordance with City and state policies, rules, and regulations applicable to specific areas of program activity. WANTED: COMPUTER SOFTWARE

The City of Sterling is seeking proposals to upgrade or replace the existing software used by the Finance Department. We are looking for a fully integrated system that will run on our current hardware platform. We have budgeted the replacement for fiscal year 1998 which begins May 1, 1997. SUPERVISOR - PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

The Village of Cherry Valley seeks a Supervisor of the Public Works Department. The applicant shall have general knowledge of, but not limited to, street maintenance, vehicle maintenance, snow and ice removal procedures, and buildings and grounds maintenance. A Class "A" commercial drivers license (CDL), issued by the State of Illinois with a (N) Tank vehicle endorsement is required or the ability to obtain one within 90 days from date of employment. Must have previous supervisory experience. Other qualifications which are desirable would be proven computer skills, experience in establishing and administering safety programs applicable to public works and knowledge of or experience in tree care would be beneficial. Duties include, but are not limited to: A monthly handwritten report shall be submitted to the public works director summarizing any projects or major accomplishments which may have been undertaken or completed. The supervisor shall assist public works director in making decisions regarding snow and ice control, or in the absence of public works director, shall make such decisions. CODE ENFORCEMENT INSPECTOR

The Village of River Forest (population 11,669) is seeking a part time (25-30 hours per week) and/or full time Building, Property and Zoning Code Enforcement Inspector and Plan Reviewer. Responsibilities include reviewing and examining building plans and specifications, reviewing zoning requirements, enforce property maintenance code regulations, make site inspections, coordinate electrical and plumbing inspections with contract inspectors for those disciplines, maintaining records, consulting with contractors and attending Board and Commission meetings as necessary.
