Clarification
Ameritech stresses it has no problem with the current structure or wholesale rates other companies pay to use Ameritech lines. Ameritech also wants implementation of universal services standards. The company isn't asking the state to lift those standards for Ameritech (see Illinois Issues, January, page 15).
