The Annual Conference

ADVANCE reservations indicate the largest attendance ever for the 45th Annual Conference of the League to be held in Springfield on November 9th, 10th and llth. Advance copies of the program have been mailed to the members of the League. The program offers a wide variety of subjects of interest to municipalities of all sizes in all of the areas of the State. It presents an opportunity for city and village officials to discuss their problems with experts and with other officials faced with similar situations. The Conference will provide for play as well as work. The President's Reception, a party at the Lake Club and the Annual Luncheon provide time for visiting and social relaxation to make the Annual Conference an enjoyable occasion.

PLAN COMMISSIONS SHOULD ATTEND MONDAY SESSION

Members of the municipal plan commissions should attend Monday's sessions which will feature talks on housing by Charles Slusser, Commissioner of the Housing and Home Finance Agency of Washington, D. C., and John McCollum, Regional Director of the Housing and Home Finance Agency who will discuss the community facilities program. Discussion tables on planning, zoning and subdivision control will feature the Monday-afternoon session. Urge the members of your planning and zoning commissions to attend. The Annual Luncheon will feature Mayor Richard J. Daley, Chicago, as speaker.
