FUND RAISING DINNER

The First Annual Fund Raising Dinner was termed a big success, by Ted Kavadas, speaking for the Presidents of the three organizations sponsoring the event.

Between $9,000 and $10,000 was raised.

Highlight of the evening was an address by the Governor of the State of Illinois, Richard B. Ogilvie.

His address focused attention on the vast improvement Illinois has seen in the past three years in parks, recreation and conservation and some of the future needs that are being considered at this time.

Through this coverage the IPRS, IAPD and Foundation expresses their appreciation and thanks to all those who worked for and made the First Annual Illinois Park and Recreation Fund Raising Dinner a big success. Listed are those who gave support to the program by the purchase of tickets.
