MEET THE NEW PRESIDENTS


WEBSTER D. WILEY

The Illinois Association of Park Districts will install Webster Wiley of Kewanee as President at the annual Conference November 21 thru 24.

Web has served as Commissioner for the Kewanee Park District for 11 years with four (4) years remaining on his present elected office.

During this time he served as President for three (3) years and presently he is a Commissioner and Chairman of Building and Grounds.

He has served the Illinois Association Park District as Sergeant at Arms for two (2) years, Director for one (1) year and as Vice President and IAPD President elect.

He has served on numerous panels, Seminars and Committees for local and state Work Shops and Conventions.

He is the owner of the Meadow Gold Dairies in Kewanee and Princeton, Illinois.

Web is a member of the Elks, V.F.W., the American Legion and the Moose, was past President of the local Jaycees. Web brings dedication, understanding and a willingness to work hard to promote the ideals and programs of IAPD.

JACK WHITE

Jack White, Superintendent of Parks for the Champaign Park District, will be installed as President of the Illinois Park and Recreation Society for 1975 at the Annual Conference November 21 thru 24.

For the past seven years, he has worked in Champaign as Superintendent of Park Operations and Development.

He brings to IPRS much experience and involvement in the field of parks and recreation. Jack was selected "Park Man of the Year" for 1973 by the Midwest Institute of Park Executives.

In past years, he has served as Treasurer and Board Member for IPRS. Jack has been a member of the Annual Conference Committee and co-chaired the Student Section of the 1973 Conference.

He was instrumental in developing many of the workshop sessions at the Great Lakes Park Training Institute at Pokagon, and has served on numerous national, regional and state panels.

In addition to IPRS, Jack is a member of NRPA, MIPE and the Central Illinois Recreation Assn. He is a graduate of Indiana University Executive Development program.
