As of July 25 claimants for unemployment insurance can collect benefits for a maximum of 39 weeks - 26 from state unemployment insurance plus 13 from the Federal Supplementary Benefits Program. The Extended Benefit Program allowing an extension of 26 weeks ended when the national insured unemployment rate dropped below 4.5 per cent for 13 weeks... The maximum interest rare in August for loans secured by residential real estate is 9.5 per cent... The preliminary unemployment rate for Illinois in July was 4.7 per cent, which turned out to be the same as the final rate in June. June was the first month the state's jobless rate dropped below 5 per cent in nearly three years.
