What's Up With Students?

The IPRA Student Section would like to recognize you for your achievements. The first Annual Scholarship Dance was held at the Illinois Park and Recreation State Conference in St. Louis. We earned $500.00 that has been put into a special fund. During next year's conference at the Hyatt Regency the Student Section will award two, $200 scholarships.

These scholarships will be judged on both need and involvement. Ron Dodd, the current President of IPRA will appoint a committee, made up of a professional from each of the sections of IPRA (excluding the Student Section) and two faculty members.

3. Must have a B average or better.

4. Must be either a freshman, sophomore, junior, or first semester senior.

5. Must complete an application form and be recommended by either a faculty member or a recreation professional. (You can make the contact to the faculty person or recreation professional asking them to write a letter of recommendation for you.)
