Roche A. (Rocky) Blanchard has been named Director of Haven Lighted School Center for the Evanston Recreation Department and assumed his new duties on September 2, according to Louis F. Schick, Superintendent. He succeeds John McKoy who resigned.

A graduate of the University of Nebraska (Omaha) where he majored in recreation administration, Mr. Blanchard has been employed by the Offutt Youth Center, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, since June 1977, first as the Program Director and then, since October 1978, as Sports Coordinator and Acting Assistant Director. In these capacities, he directed a wide range of youth sports utilizing three outdoor swimming pools, gymnasiums, the Youth Center Building and nine baseball diamonds. Earlier he worked as a Recreation Supervisor at the Omaha Home for Boys and as a Camp Program Assistant for the Omaha YMCA.

He is a member of the National Recreation and Parks Association.

Holly Jefferson has recently assumed the position of Recreation Coordinator with the Roselle Park District. Ms. Jefferson is a 1980 graduate of George Williams College, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Leisure Education and Recreation Resources.

Tracy Swanson began as a recreation leader with the South East Association for Parks and Recreation, September 1980. Tracy is a recent graduate of George Williams College in Downers Grove. Completing a major in therapeutic recreation. Tracy worked as an intern student at SEASPAR and Maryanjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton. Her main responsibilities at SEASPAR will be direct leadership of a variety of programs for special populations.

Mary Jenkins began employment at the South East Association for Special Parks and Recreation on August 11 as a recreation leader. Mary is a graduate of North Central College in Naperville, with a major in therapeutic recreation and a minor in theatre. Mary completed her internship at Western DuPage Special Recreation Association in 1979.
