Mark your calendar now! The Sixth Annual Legislative Conference is scheduled for May 2, 1984, and promises to be a rewarding experience for commissioners and professionals alike.

This is an opportunity to meet your legislators to discuss issues of importance to the park and recreation field in Illinois. Topical sessions are also planned and will address a variety of subjects including the Freedom of Information Act and the impact of the new Collective Bargaining Law on your district.

The keynote address will be given this year by Representative Lee A. Daniels, Minority Leader of the Illinois House of Representatives.

Representative Daniels, a practicing attorney, has served in the Illinois House for over nine years in a variety of leadership positions including that of Majority Whip in 1981. His aggressive leadership style has played a central role in the formation of legislative policy since he became Minority Leader in 1983 and he will be sharing his insightful perspective on the future directions of the Illinois General Assembly and the economic health of Illinois.
