Help us improve IPR

Dear IPR Reader:

We are pleased to announce the addition of Carla Fisher and Barb Valiukenas as co-editors of the Illinois Parks and Recreation Magazine and the combined IPRA/IAPD newsletter. The magazine and newsletter are two of our most important tools in communicating with IAPD/IPRA members, public officials and others associated with park and recreation areas. Therefore, we want to conduct a periodic reader survey to determine if the magazine is meeting your needs. Please take a few minutes to fill out and return the survey form on page 6.

We are also interested in receiving your articles and story ideas for the magazine and newsletter. These can be about your district's or department's community events (like a novel fund-raising idea or a special promotion); "interesting people" who are either employed by, or who use, your facilities; tourist attractions; historical landmarks, and helpful "how to" information which can be shared with other park and recreation enthusiasts. We would also like to hear about people, places and events which could make interesting pictures.

Inquiries and materials can be sent to the Illinois Parks and Recreation Magazine, Illinois Association of Park Districts, 217 East Monroe Street, Springfield, IL 62701. You can also call (217) 523-4554.

We look forward to hearing from you.
