PATRICK R. WILSON, a member of the Lake County Forest Preserve Board, was recently appointed to the Illinois Association of Park Districts' (IAPD) board of directors. He replaces SUSAN STONE, who was appointed to serve on the Illinois Commerce Commission by Governor James Thompson.

Wilson was elected to the Lake County Board in 1983 for a four-year term. He serves on the Board's Finance and Administration and Golf Course Committees. He was a former trustee for the Village of Mundelein where he served two four-year terms. His appointment to the IAPD's board of directors was approved unanimously by the Association's 19-member statewide board.

DONNA SCHIMMEL is the new senior citizen coordinator/general program supervisor for the Franklin Park Park District. She previously worked as recreation specialist for the Northeast DuPage Special Recreation Association.

Ms. Schimmel completed her education at Indiana State and Indiana Universities. She is a member of the Suburban Parks and Recreation Association and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association.

Thompson Dyke & Associates, Ltd. of Northbrook, IL, announce the addition of KIM WEGENER and ROBERT S. WARNER to its land planning, park design and landscape architect staff.

Ms. Wegener graduated from Iowa State University in May with honors and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Degree. She won the American Society of Landscape Architects National Student Merit Award, did field study in Wales and England last spring, and participated in an externship in Reno, Nev.

Warner is landscape architect in charge of land planning, park design and landscape architecture. He is a landscape architect graduate of the University of Illinois and is licensed in Michigan. Included in his credentials are the preparation of preliminary and working drawings for commercial, industrial and residential developments. He recently coordinated the redesign of the hotel/terminal landscape at Chicago O'Hare International Airport. Warner is an active Executive Committee member of the Illinois chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
