Ms. Linda Pietrini is the new recreation supervisor for the Addison Park District. She previously worked at the DuPage Convalescent Center and for the Villa Park Recreation Department.

Ms. Pietrini received her associate degree at the College of DuPage and bachelors of science degree from George Williams College.

The Geneseo Community Park District has hired Nancy K. Owens of Fennimore, WI as the Community Center's new recreation supervisor.

Ms. Owens is a 1982 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a bachelors of science degree in physical education with a health minor. She comes to the Park District with a strong background in gymnastics. She has taught gymnastics since 1979 as an assistant gymnastics coach at Fennimore High School.

Ms. Owens will assume both teaching and administrative duties in recreational programming with the District.

The Western DuPage Special Recreation Association has announced the addition of DEBORAH RANDAZZO and PATRICIA RADIVOY to its staff.

Ms. Randazzo graduated from North Central College with a bachelors of arts degree in physical education and recreation, and a minor in business administration. Prior to her employment as a program specialist, she worked for the DuPage County Forest Preserve District.

Ms. Radivoy assumed full-time secretarial responsibilities after working part time for the past year. She attended the College of DuPage.

RAY BRADBURY, prolific author, poet, screen writer and dramatist, returns to his native Waukegan, the Greentown of his Dandelion Wine, for a three-day celebration of his unequaled contribution to the world of science fiction. Highlighting his visit is the live production of his work by the Waukegan Community Players at the historic Genesee Theater Oct. 26 and 27 at 8 p.m. There will be a matinee Oct. 28 at3 p.m.

The South Suburban Park and Recreation Professional Association (SSPRPA) celebrated its 10th anniversary on May 10 at Chicago Ridge. Patti Roth (at left), president of the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA), presented SSPRPA with a cake in honor of the event. Joining in the festivities were (from the left) Chuck Szoke, SSPRPA president-elect; Jeff Boubelik, SSPRPA president, and Tom Richardson, IPRA president-elect.

John L. Hedges, director of parks and recreation of Oak Park, was recently elected chairman of the North Carolina State University Revenue Sources Management School.

The School provides a two-year, one-week-per-year curriculum for park and recreation professionals. Its primary objective is to expose these practitioners to new technologies and management tools. Efficient fiscal administration and a better understanding of the philosophy and principles of revenue-producing programs and facilities are the principal objectives of the School.

Courses are conducted by North Carolina State University in cooperation with the National Recreation and Park Association. Oglesbay Park, Wheeling, West Virginia is the site of the School. The Revenue Sources Management School Board of Regents is made up of park and recreational professionals from across the country.

Hedges was elected to the School's Board of Regents in 1980. Since then he has been actively involved in the instruction and development of classes on adapting facilities for revenue purposes, energy conservation methods and recreation programs as a revenue source. Hedges received a B.S. degree in Business Administration and an M.S. degree in Parks and Recreation Administration from Indiana University at Bloomington, Ind.
