FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE AND MAYOR OF MUNDELEIN JOHN J. NOEL, SR. who governed the Village from 1953-1965 died January 15 in Tampa, Florida following a heart attack.

Ms. Ellen R. Mooney, CMC, Village Clerk of Hinsdale, Illinois, has been accepted into the Academy for Advanced Education of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. The Academy is a professional body of municipal clerks who have continued their high level of educational achievement beyond the attainment of the prestigious Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) Award.


On Sunday, May 11, 1986 there will be a fundraiser held with all proceeds being donated to the Illinois Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. (I.V.V.M.F.) This fundraiser is being organized by Richard A. Hasse, Ottawa, Illinois and Roma L. Walker, Streator, Illinois. All proceeds donated to the I.V.V.M.F". committee will be used for the construction of a memorial dedicated to all Illinois Vietnam Veterans. This memorial will be constructed at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois.

LEE F. CODDINGTON, who served as Executive Secretary of The Illinois Municipal Problems Commission for many years passed away in January after a long illness. Lee will be remembered by many for her years of service to local government.
