CITY ENGINEER/ASSISTANT PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR

Duties: The City Engineer manages the Engineering Division (2 professional engineers and 7 technical staff) and reports to the Public Works Director. The Engineering Division is responsible for planning, design and implementation of capital improvements, subdivision plan review, regulation of construction in the right of way, and special projects related to the infrastructure. The City Engineer analyzes and reports on technical policy issues which relate to the development and maintenance of the public infrastructure. Qualifications: BSCE and State of Illinois P.E. registration (within 6 months). Experience in municipal engineering and public administration desired. SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
The City of Lake Forest, Illinois (15,800) a north shore suburban community in the Chicago Metropolitan Area, is accepting applications for a full-time Superintendent of Public Works. This is a department head position reporting directly to the Director of Parks, Forestry and Public Works. Responsibilities include planning, directing and coordinating the operations and maintenance of a complete municipal water distribution system, storm drainage system, sanitary sewer collection system, all City-owned streets, parking lots, street traffic lights, sidewalks, bridges and collection and disposal of refuse. Degree in engineering, public or business administration or closely related field; have a minimum of five years Public Works management or administrative experience. Comprehensive knowledge of municipal government, in addition to marked organizational abilities and communications skills are required.

VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR
The Village of Plainfield, Illinois, population 4,500, is accepting applications for the position of Village Administrator. Salary range in low to mid 30's, depending on qualifications. Appointed by the Village President and six-member Board of Trustees, the Village Administrator is responsible for supervising the operations of 30 personnel employed in police, streets, water and sewer, and administration. CONSTRUCTION MANAGER PART-TIME
$20 to $30/Hour. Estimated length of appointment 30-36 months. Ten plus hours per week depending on work schedule. Construction Manager will serve as owner representative for the Decatur Public Building Commission during the design and construction of the new Law Enforcement Facility. Construction Manager will represent the owner in the approval of change orders and other "on-site" construction liasion. Also, will serve as liasion between Resident Inspectors and the Building Commission members. Applicants should have experience in heavy building construction with experience in security type structure preferred.

The City of Edwardsville, Department of Public Works, is seeking an Assistant Director of Public Works/City Engineer. Registration as a P.E. in Illinois or eligibility for registration is required within one year. Knowledge of design and contract administration for water, wastewater, roadway, and storm drainage is desired.
