RESOLUTION HONORING RORERT J. EPPLEY

WHEREAS, on February 1, 1946, ROBERT J. EPPLEY was appointed to his first city managerial position in Washington Courthouse, Ohio; and

WHEREAS, during his career, ROBERT J. EPPLEY has served as City/Village Manager of Greendale, Wisconsin; Palatine, Illinois; Northlake, Illinois; Lombard, Illinois; Wheaton, Illinois; Mount Prospect, Illinois; and

WHEREAS, ROBERT J. EPPLEY was appointed Village Manager of Skokie on January 2, 1979; and

WHEREAS, ROBERT J. EPPLEY has gained prominence as a professional city manager; and

WHEREAS, ROBERT J. EPPLEY is greatly respected and admired by his colleagues, elected officials and the public; and

WHEREAS, forty years have passed since ROBERT J. EPPLEY first assumed the position of City Manager; and

WHEREAS, this Honorable Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Skokie wish to acclaim ROBERT J. EPPLEY's distinguished record of public service;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Skokie, Cook County, Illinois:

Section 1: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees congratulate ROBERT J. EPPLEY upon the 40th Anniversary of his first appointment as a City Manager.

Section 2: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees further congratulate ROBERT J. EPPLEY for his distinguished record as a City Manager and performance in the highest tradition of his profession.
