Illinois Municipal Treasurers Institute

The Illinois Municipal Treasurers Association and Eastern Illinois University are co-sponsoring an intensive training institute October 12-19, 1986. It is tailored toward improving the ability to do a better job of serving the public in the municipal finance functions. It is also approved for Illinois Public Accountants continuing professional education credit. The stated purpose of the institute is to assist town treasurers, finance officers and accountants in developing and maintaining the high level of administrative expertise needed today.

It is a three phase program toward state certification of the participant, and may be completed in a one week session per year over a 3 year span. No exams are required.

It is, according to Ila Reynolds of Wauconda, a must for treasurers and financial directors of small municipalities.

The cost is $350 each, which should be paid to Eastern Illinois University, Treasurers Institute, Office of Continued Education, Eastern Illinois University, 205 Old Main, Charleston, IL 61920. Be sure to let them know your name, address and phone number. Register now for the October session.
