FIRE CHIEF

The Village of Lake Zurich, a community of 16,000 persons located in Northwest Suburban Chicago, is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Fire Chief. This is a management position for a full-time Fire Department with an annual budget of $1.1 million and a staff of 17 full-time Firefighters/Paramedics plus 40 paid-on-call volunteers. The department serves a total service area (Village and District) of 25 square miles with a combined population of 38,000. Qualified applicants should possess a B.S. degree in Fire Administration or related field; minimum of 7 years experience with a paid Municipal Fire Department with a minimum of 3 years progressively responsible management experience; experience in management of FMS services and labor relations experience preferred; strong management, organizational, budgeting, training, and communications skills required. A combination of extensive experience and training in lieu of education may be acceptable. Salary range: $45,000-$50,000.

Lake County (Ill.) is seeking two individuals to fill key management positions for a recently established, countywide stormwater management program. Director — Requirements include an advanced degree in public administration, engineering, planning or water resources plus a minimum of seven years related experience. WASTEWATER SYSTEM OPERATOR

The town of Johnston City, Illinois, population 3900, is seeking applications for Operator of a 1 year old Activated Sludge Plant. Operator will also be responsible for City's Collection System. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS

The City of Alton, Illinois, Department of Public Works is accepting resumes for the position of Assistant Director of Public Works — Streets/Sewers/Nuisance Abatement. WATER AND WASTEWATER OPERATOR

The Village of Beecher, Illinois (population 2,200) is accepting applications for the position of water/wastewater operator. Starting salary $25,000-$28,000 based on experience.
