Elects Officers

At its Annual Meeting on June 15, 1990, the Illinois City Management Association elected as President John Fulton Dixon, Village Manager, Mount Prospect. Serving as officers with Mr. Dixon are Steven C. Carter, City Manager, Champaign, 1st Vice-President; David M. Limardi, Village Manager, Lincolnshire, 2nd Vice-President; and Mark C. Stevens, City Manager, DeKalb, Secretary/Treasurer. Members of the Board of Directors are Daniel E. Dubruiel, Village Administrator, Matteson; Robert D. Franz, Village Manager, Deerfield; Timothy W. Schuenke, Village Manager, LaCrange Park; and Robin A. Weaver, Assistant Village Administrator, Roselle. Representing their respective affiliates on the ILCMA Board are the President of the Illinois Association of Municipal Management Assistants, Kathleen Rush, Assistant Village Administrator, Woodridge; the President of the Metropolitan Managers Association, Larry N. Arft, Village Administrator, Morton Grove; and the President of the Downstate City Management Association, James E. Bassett, Village Manager, Bourbonnais. Remaining on the Board as Past President is Lawrence A. Asaro, City Manager, Des Plaines.

The Illinois City Management Association, founded in 1953, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of local government. Its purpose is to support, improve and strengthen municipal and county government in Illinois. Its membership includes more than 400 professionals employed by local governments throughout the State of Illinois. Among the services provided by the association are a monthly newsletter and two annual statewide conferences. Affiliate groups provide additional opportunities to exchange information and pursue professional interests through their regular scheduled meetings. The Association's secretariat is housed at the Center for Governmental Studies, Northern Illinois University. Carol B. Zar serves as the Executive Director. •
