DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF
Orange County (Orlando) Florida, population 650, 000. Responsible for all major support service functions of the department including fleet maintenance, capital improvements, planning, construction management, logistics and supply, and basic fiscal and human resources management. The county is seeking a proven fire service leader with direct line management experience in one or more of these areas, with a particular emphasis on fire fleet management and facilities construction and maintenance. Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, public administration or a related field is required. Ten years progressively responsible fire service experience, including command experience at the Battalion Chief or equivalent level, is required. Broad-based exposure to all aspects of modern fire department operations and management is essential, including fire suppression, fire prevention and emergency medical services.

VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR
The Village of Forsyth, Illinois, is in the process of creating the position of Village Administrator. Forsyth is the site of a regional shopping center. It is growth oriented, attracting many corporate executives to its newly developed subdivisions. The village currently has eleven employees and a budget of $1.58 million. Major functions include street maintenance, water production and distribution, parks, wastewater collection. Requires B.A. in Public Administration, or related field. M.P.A. desirable, but not essential. Minimum of one year experience in an intern/admin. asst. position. Beginning salary $30, 000-$35, 000, d.o.q.

BUILDING INSPECTOR
The City of Woodstock (population 14, 400) is requesting qualified applicants for the position of Building Inspector. This position is responsible for site inspections and code enforcement on existing properties as well as review and inspection for new construction. Typical duties will include coordination with field inspectors, plan review, permit approval, review and preparation of codes, code interpretation and enforcement of Woodstock building codes, with the primary emphasis on plan review. The position will include a considerable amount of public contact, and effective communication skills are necessary. Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years experience in the administration and enforcement of building codes and plan review and have a working knowledge of BOCA codes, state regulations and basic construction practices. Salary range is $26, 193 to $39, 289 with an excellent benefit package.

DIRECTOR OF CABLE SERVICES
City of Wheaton, IL. Salary range $29, 751-$36, 162. Performs responsible administrative and professional work in planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the cable television activities of the City. Acts as liaison between City and cable franchisee and the public on cable matters. Provides staff assistance to the Wheaton Community Cable Commission and to the Institutional Network Committee. Develops municipal programming. Requires the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to plan and coordinate projects effectively; to work independently; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City officials, cable franchisee and general public. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in telecommunications, journalism, public relations or related field and two years of work experience in a professional capacity. Preferred experience in cable franchise administration; community access management; producing, directing, editing video programs.

FINANCE DIRECTOR
The City of Warrenville is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Finance Director. WATER WELL/WASTEWATER TREATMENT OPERATOR
The Village of Shorewood, IL (pop. 6300) is seeking a qualified individual to operate and maintain the municipal- owned water wells and wastewater treatment facility. The individual must be a certified wastewater Class II operator. A Class C water license held by operator would be helpful but is not required. Individual will be responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the water & sewer department. This is a supervisory position which reports directly to the Village Administrator. WATER & SEWER SUPERINTENDENT
The City of Johnston City, Illinois is accepting job applications for the position of Water & Sewer Superintendent. This is a working supervisor position. The applicant must have a current Class II Wastewater Treatment Works Operator's License and a Class D Public Water Supply Operator's License for the State of Illinois. This person will be responsible for the operation of the Wastewater Treatment Facility, the daily operation of the Water Department, the Sewer Collection System and other duties related to the Water and Sewer operation.

POLICE CHIEF
Tinley Park, IL. Progressive, rapidly-growing community of 37, 000, located 25 miles southwest of Chicago, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Chief of Police. Salary starting at $55, 500, plus generous benefit package. Council- Manager form of government. Department operates on a 3.8 million budget and has 48 sworn and 12 civilian personnel, plus auxiliaries. Candidates should possess a B.A. degree in police administration or related field, preferably supplemented by advanced training at the FBI National Academy, Northwestern University Traffic Institute, or comparable institution. Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible municipal law enforcement experience, including at least three years in a responsible command or administrative staff position. Candidates should possess excellent oral and written communication skills plus demonstrated ability in budget preparation, planning, personnel administration, training, and community relations.

SANITARY DISTRICT ASSISTANT ENGINEER
The Greater Peoria Sanitary District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Engineer. The successful candidate should have extensive experience in the design, construction and contract administration of sewage collection systems. Graduation from a college or university with a degree in civil or sanitary engineering and qualification for or a holder of a Professional Engineer's registration in the State of Illinois is required.

UTILITIES SUPERINTENDENT
Village of Lombard, IL (pop. 40, 000), Public Works Dept. is seeking a Utilities Superintendent. Responsibilities include: management of supervisors and operations in Water Production, Distribution and Sewer Collection divisions (approxi- mately 20 people); computerized infrastructure management, leading to eventual GIS implementation; long-range facility and maintenance planning; budget preparation; and, related personnel functions. Considerable supervisory experience in Public Works environment desired.
