ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATOR

The Village of Oak Park is seeking applicants for the position of Economic Development Administrator in the Community and Economic Development Department. Develops, coordinates and manages all activities relating to the marketing, promotion and rehabilitation of commercial properties of the Village; serves as representative for the Village relating to tourism; performs public relations; maintains effective relationships with the State and all branches of County government as they affect development; assists with negotiations on behalf of the Village on any real estate transactions. Graduation from a college or university with a major in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or related field. At least 3 years experience with city redevelopment including marketing and promotion. Salary range: $39,201-$49,906.

SAFETY DIRECTOR

City of Harrisburg, IL (Population approximately 10,000). The position entails preparing a Loss Control/Safety Program applicable to all employees (approximately 55) and all Departments of the City, providing safety training and organizing the day-to-day administration, supervision and enforcement of the Program. The Safety Director will be under the supervision of and will report directly to the City Council. Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred. In the absence of a degree, some college training and previous experience in the Safety field is required. Must have good writing ability and other communication skills. Salary is in the $25,000-$35,000 range, depending upon qualifications and experience, plus normal benefits.

PERSONNEL COORDINATOR

Village of Bartlett, Illinois (pop. 20,000) is seeking to fill the newly created position of Personnel Coordinator. Responsibilities include the administration of the personnel management system, participation in labor management relations and contract administration, wage and benefit administration, and recruitment and selection. Successful applicant will have demonstrated: knowledge of all State and Federal laws pertaining to personnel administration, ability to express ideas effectively, considerable knowledge of principles and practices of modern public personnel administration as well as safety programs administration, and labor management relations. Qualifications include: possession of bachelors degree in public or business administration, political science, personnel administration or related field; and three years experience in personnel administration. Salary range $34,000 to $42,000.

CITY PLANNER

The City of Metropolis is seeking applicants for the newly created position of City Planner. Under the direct supervision of the Mayor, the City Planner shall be responsible for the production and performance of a wide variety of tasks associated with current and long range planning projects.
