FIRE CHIEF

The City of West Frankfort (population 8,532), a progressive and growing community located in Southern Illinois, is seeking an experienced leader to fill an opening for Fire Chief in a full service fire department and city operated ambulance service. High School diploma required and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience and training in all varieties of fire department functions, including leadership and supervision skills, organization, problem solving and community relations. The City of West Frankfort currently has 10 full time firemen and 11 civilian auxiliary. The Chief is actively involved in day to day operations of the department. Residency required following appointment. Competitive salary and excellent fringe benefits. STREET/ALLEY SUPERINTENDENT

The Village of Mahomet is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Street/Alley Superintendent. Salary will be based on qualifications. Experience and knowledge of all public work functions including street maintenance and repair, storm water drainage, building and ground maintenance, park maintenance, fleet/equipment maintenance and budget preparations. Successful candidate shall possess good communications skills to interact with residents, the Village Board, other units of local government, and State agencies such as IDOT and IEPA. A CDL license and backhoe experience is required.

STREET SUPERINTENDENT

The City of Galesburg (population 33,530) is accepting applications tor the position of Street Superintendent. The Galesburg Street Division has 17 full-time employees and an annual operating budget of $1,325,000. Candidates should possess four to six years experience in a related field. Three years of experience supervising street construction and maintenance operations of Public Works activities would be desirable. Candidates should possess an extensive knowledge of the methods, practices and techniques used in street construction and maintenance. Candidates should possess strong leadership and management skills and should be committed to providing quality services and customer satisfaction. Residency required 13 months following appointment. CHIEF OF POLICE/MUNICIPAL OPERATIONS

The Village of Carbon Cliff (population 1,500) is accepting applications for the position of Chief of Police/Municipal Operations. The primary function of this office is that of Police Chief. The police department has one full-time, and four part-time officers. The secondary function is to supervise the one full-time, and one part-time employees of the public properties/works department. Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) in police, criminal justice, public administration, and/or management. SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

The Village of Lombard (population 39,400) is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to manage our Private Engineering Services Division. This supervisory position will plan, develop, coordinate and direct the review, approval, inspection and acceptance of all privately initiated construction projects, encompassing all engineering phases. WASTEWATER TREATMENT SUPERINTENDENT

This is a supervisory position and skilled trades work in the operation and maintenance of the City's two wastewater treatment facilities.
