Sherran Battas, Supervisor/Deputy Clerk, City of Fairview Heights, Illinois, has been awarded the designation of "Certified Municipal Clerk" (CMC) from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) for achieving its high educational, experience, and service requirements.

Ms. Battas began her career with the City of Fairview Heights, Illinois, in 1975 as a Receptionist. She was then promoted and named Insurance Clerk. In 1987 she began to serve as Supervisor/Deputy Clerk . . .

Shirley M. Schwartz, Deputy Village Clerk, Village of Tinley Park, Illinois, has been awarded the designation of "Certified Municipal Clerk" (CMC) from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) for achieving its high educational, experience, and service requirements.

Ms. Schwartz has been Deputy Village Clerk of Tinley Park, Illinois, since 1980 . . .

Ms. Rosemary Coughlin, CMC/AAE, City Clerk of the City of Sterling, Illinois, has become the SEVENTH MUNICIPAL CLERK to be accepted into the THIRD SUSTAINING MEMBERSHIP of the IIMC Academy for Advanced Education.

The Academy was inaugurated in 1981 to further professional education and enhance the performance of today's Municipal Clerk. Achieving Third Sustaining Academy Membership entitles Ms. Coughlin to carry the "CMC/AAE" designation for the remainder of her Municipal Clerk career. •
