Washington, DC — Four term Peoria, Illinois Treasurer Mary Ulrich was installed President of the Municipal Treasurers' Association of the United States and Canada (MTA US&C) during the Association's 1993 Annual Conference, August 8-11, in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Treasurer Ulrich is a long-standing member of this international association representing 1500 treasurers and finance officers throughout the United States and Canada.

Treasurer Ulrich's extensive involvement with MTA US&C includes serving on the Association's Board of Directors since 1989. She has also served on MTA US&C's Nominating Committee and was Chairman of its Membership Committee from 1990-1993.

During her term as President, Treasurer Ulrich will focus on expanding the educational services provided by the Association to its membership. Both a Debt Policy Handbook and an Internal Control Checklist are currently being edited for publication in 1994. The aim of these publications is to assist MTA US&C's members in performing their duties within the treasury management profession.

In addition to Treasurer Ulrich's involvement with MTA US&C, she has been actively involved with the Illinois Municipal Treasurers Association (IMTA). She currently serves on IMTA's Advisory Board and was President of the Association from 1986-1988. •

Mrs. Julienne Crowley, CMC/AAE, City Clerk/ Treasurer of the City of Oregon, Illinois, has been accepted into the SECOND SUSTAINING MEMBERSHIP of the IIMC Academy for Advanced Education.

Ms. Patricia D. Ehrhart, CMC/AAE, City Clerk of the City of Neoga, Illinois, has been accepted into the FIRST SUSTAINING MEMBERSHIP of the IIMC Academy for Advanced Education. •

Linda L. Mitchell, Village Clerk of North Aurora, Illinois, has been awarded the designation of "Certified Municipal Clerks" (CMC) from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) for achieving its high educational, experience, and service requirements.

Mrs. Mitchell has served as the Village Clerk of North Aurora since 1985.

Lucille Zucchero, Addison Village Clerk, Illinois, has been awarded the designation of "Certified Municipal Clerk" (CMC) from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) for achieving its high educational, experience, and service requirements.

Mrs. Zucchero has been with the Village of Addison since 1977, where she began as Administrative Secretary, and in 1989, assumed her present position as Village Clerk.

Mrs. Eileene M. Nystrom, CMC/AAE, Deputy Village Clerk of the Village of Woodridge, Illinois, has been accepted as a member in the IIMC Academy for Advanced Education of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. The Academy is the professional body of municipal clerks who have continued their high level of educational achievement beyond the attainment of the prestigious Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) Award. •
