DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION

The Village of Wheeling is accepting sealed bids for the sale of one (1) 1969 Sutphen 85 foot aerial ladder tower. Vehicle was repowered in 1983 with a Detroit Diesel 8V-71 engine and Allison HT-740 automatic transmission. Ladder tower assembly refurbished in 1989 and was last certified in 1992. Tower platform is equipped with two (2) master stream devices and pre-piped breathing air system. Vehicle is equipped with a 1,000 gallon per minute Barton-American pump which was rebuilt in 1991. Unit is being sold with the following loose equipment: one (1) - 35 foot extension ladder, one(1) -30 foot extension ladder, one (1)-16 foot roof ladder, and six (6) wooden pike poles (various lengths). A Bachelors Degree in Urban & Regional Planning or related field and two (2) years professional experience in a County, Municipal or other comparable environment is required.
