The IML is currently calling for presentation proposals and topic suggestions for the 1994 IML Annual Conference.

All presentation proposals should:

  2. State the amount of time requested for the presentation;
  3. Indicate if audio/visual equipment is needed;

FOR SALE

The City of Oak Forest Fire Department is accepting sealed bids for the sale of a 1967 Seagrave fire engine. Unit was repowered in 1971 with a 6-53 series Detroit diesel, has 5-speed trans., 1000 GPM pump, and a 500 gal. water tank. The unit was refurbished in 1984 including a new tank. Unit is in excellent condition. Pump test in Oct. 1993 and will pass on 750 CPM. Equipment included: (1) 1000 gal. port-a-tank, ground ladders, portable monitor, miscellaneous equipment, 800 ft. of 3" hose, 800 ft. of 2 1/2" hose and 400 ft. of 1 1/2" hose.

ACCOUNTANT

Administers and maintains general and subsidiary ledgers and other accounting records and controls. Prepares and analyzes financial summaries, statements and reports. Reconciles trial balances and performs adjusting and closing journal entries. Assists or prepares monthly bank reconciliations. PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR

BUILDING AND ZONING DIRECTOR

The Village of Lake Zurich, Illinois (population 14,927) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Building and Zoning. This is a Department Head position, under the direction of the Village Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering the Municipal Code and Zoning Code which includes the enforcement related to planning, building and zoning. It includes permit issuance, plan reviews, code enforcement and field inspections. The Director acts as the liaison to the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals. COMMANDER OF POLICE

RISK MANAGER
PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT

Plans, coordinates and administers the Village's safety, loss prevention, risk management, and insurance programs. As Village safety officer, ensures workplace compliance with OSHA, IDOL, ERA, etc. Participates in accident investigation, and analyzes loss trends, performs risk assessments analysis and designs programs to reduce loss. Conducts safety training, manages workers compensation program and works with third party administrator to ensure aggressive claims handling. Negotiates, purchases, renews, revises, and cancels insurance coverages including workers compensation and general liability within one year of employment. Ensures that insurance coverage is adequate and renewal is timely.
