POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Executive Director: Illinois Municipal League.

Illinois governmental experience and knowledge required. The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer who oversees the activities and staff of this professional organization that represents over 1,000 municipalities and their elected officers. Requires five (5) years relevant work experience; ability to manage association and affiliated programs. Knowledge of or orientation to federal, state, and local government legislative process important. Strong general management, leadership, and interpersonal relations skills, along with governmental administrative experience, required. Application letter with resume must be received by 7/1/94. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Mr. Mell Smigielski, City Clerk of the City of DuQuoin, Illinois, has been awarded the designation of "Certified Municipal Clerk" (CMC) from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) for achieving its high educational, experience, and service requirements.

Mr. Smigielski has been with the City of DuQuoin since 1985, serving as City Commissioner before assuming his present position as City Clerk in September 1990. •
