DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS

The Village of Machesney Park, IL seeks an individual to fill the position of Director of Public Works. The position directs, plans and supervises all public works functions; formulates and implements policies, methods, and procedures; and prepares and monitors the department's budget. The individual shall have a hands on work ethic and be on call 24 hours a day for emergencies such as snow removal and floods. ASSISTANT FINANCE DIRECTOR

CIVIL ENGINEER

Kane County, Illinois has a position for a graduate civil engineer, or graduate engineer with similar course work and background, for the Water Resources Division of the Development Department. The successful applicant will report to the Director of Water Resources and will be responsible for assisting in subdivision reviews, stormwater management planning, water resources planning and other related areas. Knowledge and application of stormwater runoff software and experience on microcomputers is a minimum requirement. Experience in municipal storm drainage, farm drainage, civil site and subdivision design, or public works is highly desirable. Familiarity with public water and groundwater supply and wastewater collection and treatment would be beneficial. This is a highly visible position and will require dealing with various County departments and many areas of the public. Kane County and the Fox River Valley are a highly desirable area to work and live, nationally rated as one of the top 25 communities in the country. Salary range is $2333 to $2750 per month based on a 35-hour work week, with step increases annually and exceptional performance incentives.
